Anthurium plant

Anthurium plants, commonly known as flamingo flowers or laceleaf, are tropical perennials prized for their glossy, heart-shaped leaves and striking, long-lasting flowers. The “flowers” are actually modified leaves called spathes, which can be red, pink, white, green, or even purple, with a contrasting yellow or white spadix in the center. Native to Central and South America, these plants thrive in warm, humid conditions and are often grown as houseplants or in tropical landscapes.

Anthuriums prefer bright, indirect light, well-draining soil, and consistently moist but not soggy conditions. They benefit from regular misting or high humidity and should be kept in temperatures above 60°F (15°C). With proper care, they can bloom year-round, making them a popular choice for both ornamental and floral arrangements.
